A Pair of Suspects Formally Indicted with Inmate Homicide of Former Lostprophets Frontman Ian Watkins
Two individuals now face murder charges following the incarceration fatality of ex-Lostprophets frontman and adjudicated child sex criminal Ian Watkins.
The two men, Rashid Gedel (25) and Samuel Dodsworth (43) now face murder accusations and are scheduled to appear in Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, according to investigating officers.
Watkins, forty-eight, was serving a 29-year sentence at HMP Wakefield, plus an additional six years on license, after pleading guilty to multiple sexual crimes including the effort to sexually assault an infant.
Watkins was arrested after the execution of a narcotics search warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a large number of computers, mobile phones and storage devices were seized.
