Chopper Spins Uncontrollably into Palm Groves at Well-Known California Beach
A chopper soaring near a crowded coastal beach unexpectedly commenced twirling uncontrollably, eventually descending rapidly and smashing into a line of palm fronds as onlookers watched.
Recordings posted online capture the chopper beginning to twirl near the beach then descending near the perimeter of the shore, where it gets stuck between palms and a set of stairs close to the Pacific Coast highway.
First Aid Details
Local firefighters said five persons were transported to a medical facility including a pair who were in the helicopter and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” subsequent to the crash on Saturday.
Three individuals on the street were hurt. Information on their condition were not immediately available.
What led to the incident was not yet disclosed.
